Malay Ko

Pyesta e. Konti na lang pwede ng Christmas or New Year. Sa atin, uhmm, no comment. Kaya tuloy nag-tweet si Lea Salonga. Oh, well. Nakakatuwa lang, and at the same time, nakakainis.

I won’t disagree with this. For hundred of years of being oppressed and be free of it, yes, it is a reason to celebrate.

So putting it into one sentence would be like: “Ok lang nakawan kami ng gobyerno kesa may gera sa Pilipinas.”. (Insert profanity here). Which in case, majority of us do. If you see Kaye.

Same as number 3.

So, do I celebrate my freedom? Yes, I enjoy it. No, in a festive way. But sure enough, there is a lot more to wish for to really celebrate ‘Freedom’.

  1. ha ha ha….hindi daw pinag-isipan? May karapatan ka mag-rant. Malaya tayo eh ha ha.

Una.

Pangalawa.

  2. The Philippines is free , technically, but is also free to indulge in too much corruption. I blame the politicians, If they would only do the right thing, just a modicum of decency is enough, things would improve . During the short time I was in the Philippines, I personally witnessed corruption….. and it cost my family a big amount of money. I talked about it on my previous post. Freedom has many shades. Freedom is not just freedom from colonizers. By the way, don’t vote for Binay. We left the Philippines in 1996, but already, my parents were already discussing how corrupt this man was.

    • As if I would vote for that devil’s incarnation.

I really don’t know where to even start. I know I could change myself and the people close to me. But the real problem lies within the Filipino culture itself. Something Jose Rizal said during his time: “kanser ng lipunan (cancer of the society)”. :sigh:
