Kita Kita (2017) Movie Review

If you have watched the trailer, then you have already watched half of the movie.

When Jonalyn and I watch a Pinoy movie, ang madalas naming napapansin ay yung kung fit ba yung actor or actress sa characters. In this movie, we both agree that Empoy and Alessandra fits their role and can’t think of somebody else that would do better. Plus, the chemistry of the two is great at kikiligin ang mga buto buto mo. The hilarious antics of the two, especially Empoy, tickles the theater crowd.

I know I don’t know better pero I just though na sana itinodo na sana nila dun sa eksena na iyon. Don’t get me wrong though, the movie is still great.

It may not be as stellar na pang world-stage level pero it is a step there. You guys should watch the movie as I bet it is worth your time and money. Just like si maskuladong kuya na solong pinanood yung movie sa Trinoma.

PS: Given na maganda na yung movie, kung gagawa lang din yung mga producers nito ng another movie teaming up the two, sana maganda or mas maganda pa. I know what you did with ‘Always Be My Maybe’ and ‘Can We Still Be Friends?’. The former is great and the latter is crap.

  1. I was a bit hesitant to read this kase akala ko ikukwento mo yung story, pero since wala naman ako nabasa na “spoiler alert” sa umpisa kaya tinuloy ko na. Heheh..

Try ko mamayang gabi or tom.

Yah, aabangan ko din yan. I heard ‘Birdshot’ is a great movie.

    • Yes same thing sa amin.

Nakakalungkot lang yung balita about the movie’s director not being able to accept criticsm about his movive.

  3. I’ve been watching a lot of Philippine movies lately to practice the Filipino language . Most are good, but I notice the conversations are loud and over-dramatic . Filipinos should patronize Philippine movie industry. I find it odd that young Filipinos are so into Kdrama, but I tell you, Filipino movies are so much better , and acting is more superior.

    • sad to say that the trend of Filipino movies is more of commercial success that the quality of the movie itself. i just op that with this kind of movies, that trend will stop and pinoys would be much critical and would ask more for their money. movies lately are more of garbage and the problem is that some, if not most, pinoys still patronize those crap. we have a lot of talent and it is just a matter of the movie goers settling for something better: a better pinoy movie.

    • I watched the movie Mana…. the dialogue is a bit ridiculous, but the acting is excellent. My mother says they are veteran actors like Mark Gil, etc. I got to watch The Thing called Tadhana ( ????? ) . It’s cute and I love the acting of the main characters. Also The Road. I watched that horror movie 3x.

I’ve been watching a lot of kdrama, ( the ones that young folks watch ),and I tell you, the plotlines are ridiculously unrealistic ! ! And the acting is so bad that I can’t finish it. It’s so cringeworthy.

    • well i guess the difference is this. pinoy movies are good (uhmm, getting better) it is just that the local primetime series are not. pinoy drama are good at first but when it gets popular, the station extends it to eternity. when series like this extends, the plot gets worse or goes to non-sense. imagine a ‘drama’ where after months or years, it becomes a sci-fi where the characters will now have superpowers. lol. i think ‘please be careful with my heart’ lasted like 3 years? maybe that is the reason why pinoys turn into kdrama or american series because the episodes are fixed.
