Spongebob’s Seven Sins

Out of boredom I got this from a friend. Believe or not, it’s up to you. I don’t care either because I do not know the truth myself.

Sandy = Lust – She’s obsessed with karate, and we all know what that’s a metaphor for in the world of Spongebob

Patrick = Gluttony – Big Eater.

Mr. Krabs = Greed – In love with money.

Mrs. Puff = Sloth – Hates her job and enjoys doing nothing.

Plankton = Envy – Jealous of Mr. Krabs’ success.

Squidward = Wrath – Hates his neighbors and the world in general.

Spongebob = Pride – Always tries to be perfect and gets upset over minor details.

  1. hmm.di ako nakakapanood ng spongebob..about naman dun sa sins, kailangan naman talaga yun sa lahat ng istorya.para in the end, lahat tayo may matutunang lessons. 😀

  6. ang galing naman may kanya kanyang tayong karakter na hindi natin namamalayan isa na pala yung karakter na yon sa deadly sins 🙂

    nanonood ako ng spongebob pero hindi ko napapansin ung mga karakter na nabnggit mo ngayon ko lng napagtugma tugma shaks! Tama ka nga 🙂

    1. pwedeng coincidence o sinadya talaga ng mga producers ng cartoons yun mga info sa taas. well nasa sa aten na iyon kung ganun nga ang iisipin naten.

      PS: di po ito galing sa akin nabasa ko lang sa net hehehe. baka idemanda ako ni spongebob. lol.

  8. Karate as a metaphor for sex? (there I said it) Now it all comes clear to me in that episode where Spongebob couldn’t stop having, este, “doing” it. Then the episode ended with Mr. Krabs making money by showcasing Spongebob and Sandy’s talents in his restaurant to an adoring public.

    Patrick? Well, it doesn’t show too much.

    As for Mr. Krabs and greed, well, the show could have been more subtle. He is shown frequently to have dinner dates with a pile of cash.

    As for the others, oh! Well, you got this at tvtropes.org. At the Wild Mass Guessing section. Where everyone’s mileage varies.

    1. i just happened to read those out of curiosity.

      on Sandy, i couldn’t make a personal view regarding her ‘lust’ so I just did copy whats on the tropes site.

      Patrick basically eats just about anything as far as I have been watching the series. And you are right that it doesn’t show that much.

      And Mr. Krabs? He is the only major character who has a business. So much for the greed thing lol.

      the tropes on naruto was pretty far off lol.

      edit: naparesearch ako bigla sa meaning ng tropes. hehehe.

  9. hahaha ang galing naman! nakonek mo yun? nung summer, nanonood ako ng spongebob at jimmy neutron sa TV5. kinalaunan, jimmy neutron na lang ang pinapanood ko, nasusura ako sa episodes ng spongebob eh. nasobrahan naman ng katangahan ang mga characters. =P

  10. heheh. =) mababaw akong tao kaya fan ako ni spongebob. =) heheh. pasensya na. =) nakakatawa kasi at di totoong tanga sila. heheh. may mga pagkakataong matalino naman sila eh at may sense kausap. haha.=) examples:

    Squidward: why not finish that job tomorrow?
    Spongebob: because today is yesterday’s tomorrow. =)

    Patrick: Waiting for you to come back.

    Plankton: Walang mapapala ang mga taong mabuti, kailangang magpursige.
    Spongebob: Paano naman yung mga mabubuting taong nagpupursige?

    personality talaga ni Mr. Krabs ang pagiging greedy, at dapat exaggerated talaga yun , kasi mga bata ang nanonood at wala pa sila ng mga concept ng “greed” o kaya “envy” (nwei, kung hindi envious si Plankton, wala ng competition di’ba? kung wala ng kompetisyon,di na kailangan si plankton) at kailangan nilang makita kung ano yun, at nakikita rin nila ang bad effects ng bad traits na yun. heheh wala lang. =) gusto ko lang i-share. ;D

      ayan nagsalita na ang isang spongebob fan hehe. ako di ko napapansin yan kasi nanonood lang ako at hindi ako fan.

      hindi ko nga rin maiti-treat na pambata talaga ang spongebob dahil may mga episode na malalim din ang tema. kumbaga ang mga nakakaintindi lang ang makakagets ng humor at hindi ng mga batang natutuwa lang sa mga gumagalaw na drawing ng mga character na kulay yellow at pink.

    2. heheh. =) fan nga ako ni spongebob. talagang nag-defend eh. hahah. =)
      pambata at pangmatanda, dahil matandang bata ako o batang matanda. patok para sa’kin ang spongebob, tsaka marine biologist naman yung creator. heheh. talagang isip-bata lang ako at naghahanap ng lusot. hahah. =)
